Center for Advanced Legal Studies, Training And Research (CALSTAR):


Vision:

A center established with a vision to bring all academic, research and training activities relating to existing, contemporary and futuristic law under the single, Unique and independent umbrella of department in the Maharashtra National Law University.


Objectives:

The center runs with three fold Objectives:

1. Advanced Legal Studies:

  • Centre aims to facilitate the Advanced Legal Studies for Students, Professionals, research scholars, layman and all the stakeholders in society through various sources such as academic programs including advanced short term and long term Certificate courses, Diploma and Degrees and specialization in various contemporary and advanced subjects in law.
  • 2. Legal Training

  • The additional objective of the Centre is to provide theoretical and practical training to students, professionals, research scholars, corporates, investigating agencies and other executives with the aid, assistance and in consultation with various experts in the field and luminaries working in the profession or any institution and academic and research institutions, various government agencies.
  • 3. Legal Research

  • To encourage and promote legal research of high quality and standards is one of the prime objectives of the Centre. The center arranges various Seminar, Webinars, Symposium, Conferences and asks for paper presentation and publication on various contemporary, advanced and futuristic topics in the field of law.
  • This center provides consultancy, support and guidance to those who really in need and Centre also aims to help the society in seeking social justice by spreading legal awareness through various socio-legal programs in different structures of society ranging from educational institutions, professional organizations, government departments and for the commoners in the society.
  • All the activities relating to legal research, training, studies and consultancy are being implemented independently and with the co-operation and co-ordination of various Centers running under the MNLU.
