Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey is the Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. Before joining MNLU Mumbai, he served as the pro Vice-Chancellor and briefly as the acting Vice-Chancellor of SRTM University, Nanded, Maharashtra, and Professor & Head of the Department at Department of Law, Savitribai Phule Pune University. In the past, he was appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow by New South Wales University, Sydney, Australia and awarded UGC Fellowship to visit France. As an invited speaker he has spoken at numerous international conferences including the International Conference held on human rights at Kathmandu, Nepal; International Conference on Human Rights at New South Wales University Sydney, Australia and International Conference jointly organized by Vienna University Austria and City University Hong Kong. He has been a member of various committees of Universities, UGC, Public Service Commissions including Judges Selection Panel. In 2019, he was conferred the Best Academician (Law) by the Indian National Bar Association, New Delhi. He is an erudite expert in Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law and Administrative law and his work in these fields is recognized in national and international.

Dr. Pratapsinh B. Salunke is Officer on Special Duty for Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Office (OSD - VC Office) & Associate Dean at MNLU Mumbai. Before joining MNLU, he was an Associate Professor and Head of the Department, School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus. Previously he has worked with D.E.S. Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune, M.M.M. Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, AWES Army Law College, Pune. He has also worked as In-charge Principal of D.E.S. Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune and AWES Army Law College, Pune. He is having fourteen years teaching experience at undergraduate and post-graduate level. He has worked as a member of Curriculum Development Committee, Faculty of Law and Commerce, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He is a member of Board of Studies, Faculty of Law, MIT-World Peace University. His areas of research are Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence and Public Law. He has published 17 research papers in reputed Law Journals of national and international repute. He has published two chapters in edited books published by publishers of international repute. He has contributed as a resource person in various conferences, seminars, workshops, U.G.C. sponsored Faculty Development and Induction Programmes organized by Human Resource Development Centers of various Universities. He is regularly invited as resource person for the training of Administrative Officers of Government of Maharashtra at Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), Pune. He is regularly invited as resource person for the Youth Leadership Programme at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune. He has contributed for training the recruits of Maharashtra State Reserve Police Force (S.R.P.F.) Pune. Besides academic and research publications he has published many articles on socio-legal issues, biographical, artistic and literary topics in the leading newspapers, magazines, journals, special issues. He has also written columns for newspaper and weekly magazines. He has delivered many lectures in the reputed lecture series. He is also felicitated for number of times for the valuable contribution in the field of oratory by various literary and cultural organisations.

Prof. (Dr.) Amol Deo Chavhan is a distinguished legal academic and Professor of Law, currently serving as the Dean of Academics at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, he is a leading expert in key legal areas, including criminal law, torts, and prison administration. Before his appointment in Mumbai, Dr. Chavhan was a Professor at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. His academic foundation was built at Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, where he completed his Ph.D. in Law and earned postgraduate degrees in Criminal Law, alongside his B.A. in social science, LL.B., and Post-Graduation Diploma in Human Rights. Beyond his teaching and research, Dr. Chavhan has held significant administrative roles. At NLUJA, Assam, he served as a Proctor-cum-Provost, Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Convenor of examination and Convenor of the Centre for Career Counselling and Capacity Building. Dr. Chavhan's extensive research is reflected in his numerous publications in prestigious legal journals, where he writes on a wide range of subjects. He often invited to deliver guest lectures and serve as a resource person for various academic institutions and programs across the country. Dr. Kiran Rai is an Associate Professor of Law. Currently she is Head of Post Graduate Department and Coordinator of NAAC Steering Committee at MNLU Mumbai. She has been HoD of Post Graduate Department from 2017 to 2019 and has been HoD of Undergraduate Department from 2017 to 2023. A university gold medallist in LL.B. & LL.M., she specializes in the area of Business Laws. She has a rich experience of teaching graduate & post-graduate students, as well as guiding them in their research projects. She also has wide experience in handling diverse administrative responsibilities. Before joining MNLU Mumbai, she has worked as I/c Dean at School of Law, Galgotias University, Greater Noida and has also worked with Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida; Institute Of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad; & ICFAI Business School (IBS), Ahmedabad. She has many awards & recognition to her credit. Besides having authored numerous research papers & a few books, she has done extensive research in the areas of Corporate Governance, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, & Law for Surrogacy. She has mobilized funds & collaborated with prestigious Government organizations - NCW, NHRC, Competition Commission of India (CCI) & IBBI - for organizing workshops & seminars.
Dr. Rai is a member of "Network of Indian Competition Experts (NICE)" formed by Competition Commission of India. She has also been appointed as a member of "Expert Committee for facilitating ease of doing business and harmonization of the provisions of ICDR and LODR Regulations” constituted by SEBI in Sep 2023.
She is the Director of the Centre of Training and Research in Corporate Regulations & Faculty advisor of the student run Journal on Corporate Law & Commercial Regulations

Dr. Nanda Pardhey has expertise during Ph.D. Biotechnology Law and LL.M. Specialization in Business Law and Science and Technology Law. Her research focuses on Biotechnology Law, Health and Environment laws, Medical Law and Family Law related rights of women and children and other allied contemporary areas of research.
Work Experience Before joining MNLU Mumbai, Dr. Nanda was working with UPES- Dehradun as Associate Professor. Had worked with premier universities like NMIMS University, Mumbai, Nirma University’s Institute of Law, Ahmedabad, Amity University’s Amity Law School, Mumbai, Sandip University's, Nashik, AURO University’s School of Law, Surat. Prior to Academia she was into litigation as Practicing Advocate.
Research Interests Biotechnology Laws, Jurisprudence, Medical Law, Constitutional Law, Family Law, Contract Law, Law of Torts, Law of Evidence, Cyber Laws and Intellectual Property Laws.
Teaching Philosophy Dr. Nanda’s teaching philosophy is to make students learning grounded while giving them practical application through the continuous process of teaching-learning which is more connecting to day- today. She had incorporated various methodologies wherein students have to thoroughly apply the law to given problems, illustration from live classroom wherein they could connect the relevance of law through problem solving that helps students interchange from novice to expert thinking to resolve the problems under various provisions of law simultaneously.

Scholarly Activities Dr. Nanda has 35 plus publications to her credit that includes national and international journal. Presented and published her papers in international conference and journal, Scopus Index, UGC-Care listed journal, reputed law journals in India and published book chapter in her interest area. Her work has a robust approach to modernisation which impact laws that has key impact on individual, organisation and government leading to social, economic, and political changes in Society. Analyzing the laws to the present situation and the loopholes that impacts the society overall. Her PhD in Biotechnology Law that deals with Agricultural biotechnology deals with concerns of food, crops, health, environment, and societal concerns arounds the technologies.

Dr. Jagdish Wamanrao Khobragade joined Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai, as an Associate Professor of Law in 2025. He has served as Assistant Professor of Law at MNLU, Nagpur from 2020 to 2025. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, (A Central University), Sagar, Madhya Pradesh from 2013 to 2020. He has completed B.A. LL.B, (a five-year course), from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law (Main Branch), RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur, in 2007. He was enrolled as an advocate at the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa in the year 2007. In 2010, he earned his LL.M. degree from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He also served as Assistant Project Director at Babasaheb Ambedkar Training Institute, Pune. He has also worked at Transport Corporation of India Private Limited for one year. He was awarded a Ph.D. by Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, for his thesis titled 'Patent Regime and Access to Medicine: A Human Rights Approach' in 2023. Additionally, he served as Assistant Registrar (Administration-II) at MNLU, Nagpur for one and half year and Deputy Registrar(Establishment) from November 2024 to September 2025. He was also in-charge of PG Diploma Courses at MNLU, Nagpur.
With over 13 years of teaching experience in the field of law, his areas of interest encompass Labour Laws, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Public Health, Social Inclusion, Maritime Laws, and Human Rights. He has actively participated in national and international seminars, presenting research papers on various topics. He has delivered more than 40 guest lectures as a resource person at Faculty Development Programmes, Refresher Courses and on Interdisciplinary subjects at various institutes like IIIT Nagpur, HRDC, Dr. Harsingh Gour Vishwavidhyalaya, Sagar, DAV, Indore etc. He is also visiting faculty at IIM Rohtak for Labour Policy. He is faculty advisor to Legal Aid Centre since 2021. He is also subject expert at various Public Service Commissions. He is also Nodal Officer of Pro Bono Club, MNLU, Nagpur. He has also developed E- content for nine modules for B.A. and B.Sc. programme on various subjects and eight modules for UG MOOC titled “Understanding Political Theory” submitted to UGC, CEC, New Delhi, which is available on the SWAYAM platform (www.swayam.gov.in). He has contributed 16 research publications to various national and international journals, and three of which have been published in Scopus-indexed journals. He has more than 6 chapter contributions in reputed books of publishers like Springer, Routledge, Sage, etc.

Amit Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Law and Assistant Registrar [Academic (I/C)]. He is also the Deputy Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at MNLU, Mumbai as well as Chairperson of the Student Disciplinary Committee (SDC). Additionally he is also in charge of the Literary and Debating Society and the Centre for Applied Research in Public Health Law, Rights and Policy (CPHL) at MNLU Mumbai. A Max Planck fellow, Amit has engaged in academic and research collaborations with the Max Planck Institute of Social Law and Social Policy and Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU), Munich, Germany. Amit Kumar has been an alumnus of the Indian Law Institute's LL.M program after completing his LL.B from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Besides, he also holds a Master’s degree in French language and literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Amit is also currently a doctoral candidate at NALSAR. Prior to joining MNLU, Mumbai he has also taught at the University of Delhi, faculty of Law. Amit has spoken and presented papers at various national and international seminars and conferences which include lectures at the Department of Foreign and International Social Law, MPI Munich and at the international conference on Business and Human Rights organized by the City University Hongkong and OXFAM. He has also participated as well as moderated sessions at the “Tour d’Arbitration” conference held at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris. Prof. Kumar has authored two books. Public Health Law and Policy (PHI, Eastern Economy Edition) and Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development: Law, Policy, Praxis (Satyam Law International). In addition to this, many of his articles have also appeared in some of the leading print and online journals and magazines such as the Indian Law Institute Law Review, Journal of Constitutional and Parliamentary studies, the Wire, The Leaflet, Law School Policy Review (NLS Bangalore) among others. His academic interests inter alia include Health Law, Comparative International law, Social laws, Human rights and Distributive justice etc. Prior to joining academics, Prof. Kumar has held significant administrative and industry positions with the government (Parliament of India) and also with some of the leading global multinational corporations including Amazon, Hewlett Packard (HP) and Orange in India and abroad in various leadership roles. Outside of professional and academic engagements Prof. Kumar engages in creative pursuits in languages and literature. He has two poetry volumes to his credit. He also speaks French with near native fluency and has working proficiency in German and Spanish.

Dr. Abhijit Rohi is an Assistant Professor of Law. He has been with MNLU Mumbai since 2016. Prior to joining MNLU Mumbai, he was a member of faculty at the School of Law, Christ University (SLCU) Bengaluru. He holds a masters degree in law (LLM) from NUJS, Kolkata where he was a recipient of merit based Saroja Gopalkrishnan Scholarship. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru in the domain of Informational Privacy Law. He jurisprudentially explores the impact of technological developments on rights.

Dr. Sajid Sheikh is an Assistant Professor of Law with a specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). He earned his LL.M. (Hons.) from National Law University, Jodhpur, and holds a Ph.D. from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. His scholarly contributions span across esteemed law journals, addressing key topics in Intellectual Property Rights, Women and Law, and various social issues. In addition to his teaching role, he served as Assistant Registrar (Academic) I/C for 8 years. He is the Coordinator of the Centre for Research in Intellectual Property at the University.

Holding a PhD focused on “Drug Abuse and Alcoholism and the Role of Rehabilitation Centers in Uttarakhand,” she has established herself as a versatile and interdisciplinary scholar. Her professional journey is marked by notable positions, including her role as a Research Associate at the Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi, and a Project Coordinator at NLU Delhi for projects funded by prestigious bodies like the Indian Council of Social Sciences Research, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the National Commission for Women.Dr. Pal recent authorial works include;The Palghar Report: Status of Project Affected Families in Palghar,&; published by Mohan Law House, and &;Hate Crime in India,&; published by Springer Nature,Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023" with Whitemann and Co;The Palghar Report& with Mohan Law;her latest is with BRILL publishers ,Netherlands volume1,2 on the topic ‘Criminalisation’,has gained significant legal importance, as it has been submitted before the Bombay High Court in relation to an ongoing dispute. This underscores the report& relevance and impact in addressing real-world issues and influencing judicial processes. Apart from her academic and research contributions, Dr. Pal has actively engaged in legal advocacy. She recently filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Bombay High Court concerning the appointment of a custodian for the proper execution of living wills. This action highlights her commitment to upholding human rights and contributing to important legal reforms. In addition to these achievements, Dr.Pal is leading an active research project funded by the by NHRC. She recently submitted two project with ICSSR and the National Commission for Women, focusing on " Social Media Intermediary Guidelines; and; Women Policing in the State of Maharashtra,&Quot;respectively.Dr.Pal extensive research, impactful publications, and active legal engagement exemplify her dedication to her field and her significant role as a scholar, researcher, and advocate for justice and human rights.

Prof. Shraddha Gaikwad at present is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Faculty Convenor of Centre For Women, Child Rights and Gender Justice at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai; with a Pre-Doctorate, Master's M.A(Hons) in Sociology & Bachelors B.A(Majors) in Sociology, Prof. Shraddha specializes in the field of Feminist and Gender studies. Prior to joining Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, she has taught at various renowned Universities & colleges and was employed as Assistant Professor at University of Mumbai. She has taught Undergraduate & Post-Graduate students courses like Gender and Society, Sociology of Movements, Sociology of Development, Sociology of Agrarian Studies, Sociology of Law, Religion, Culture and Ambedkar Thoughts, Dr. Ambedkar's Thoughts and Contemporary Issues, Advanced Research Methods in Social Sciences, Social Justice Discourse. She has qualified UGC-NET and SET of Maharashtra and Goa States for lectureship. She was awarded a Pre-Doctorate in Sociology from University of Mumbai. Her Pre-Doctorate was an Ethnographic study on Sexual Labourers in Mumbai. She is a member of Indian Sociological Society and Marathi Samajshastra Parishad. Prof. Shraddha brings along herself skills of Quality Academic writing, Student education counseling, a strong sociology background and strives to create and foster an enriching teaching, learning and research environment and gender sensitive spirit.

Dr. Muhammed Aamir Khan - Dr. Khan has 7 years of teaching and research experience in legal education. Prior to joining the Mumbai National Law University, he was working as an Assistant Professor of Law at Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur where he was an active member of various important committees such as the Academic Planning Committee, Moot Court Committee, Exam Committee, etc. He also worked as a HOD at Kalinga University (Raipur). He has actively participated as a member of different organizing committees in International/ National Conferences, Seminars, Moot Court Competitions, Debate Competitions, Workshops, Training, etc. Dr. Khan has also been invited to lectures /as a Resource Person/ paper presentations at Seminars, Conferences, etc.

Dr. Tanaya Pramod Kamlakar is an Assistant Professor (Law) at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. She is the Director for the Centre for Research in Criminal Justice and Faculty Convener for ADR Society and Centre for Public Health. She is a Ph.D. Guide at MNLU Mumbai and also a specialized guest faculty for National Institute of Public Health, Training & Research (NIPHTR) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, (Govt. of India). She is also the Executive Committee Member of ‘World ADR Women (WAW)’ for The Asia-Pacific Centre of Arbitration and Mediation. She is on the Advisory Committee of 'SOP on patients in India' with Institute of Medicine and Law.
Dr. Tanaya began her academic journey as Head of Department (PG) at KLE College of Law, Mumbai. She has accomplished her doctoral research from Savitribai Phule Pune University on 'Regulating Free Speech including sedition and speech on Social Media' in 2022. She has been a Resource Person for several eminent Institutes for National and International Conferences. She has various publications to her credit in national and international journals of repute. She has keen interest in research on advanced legal studies like forensics and cyber law and believes in interactive learning. Besides academics, Tanaya is a State level Basketball player and has keen interest in advancing gender rights through her association with various social welfare organizations. Amana Khare is an Assistant Professor (Maritime Law) at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. Previously he was working as a Research Assistant (International / Maritime Law) at the Centre for Maritime Law and Research established in collaboration with the Directorate General of Shipping under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India and MNLU Mumbai. He has done his LL.M. in International Law from Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur and graduation from Symbiosis Law School, Noida. He was the Associate Editor of the Student law Journal at DNLU. He is pursuing his PhD degree from Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad. He has keen interest in academics and research. His areas of interest are Maritime Law, International Law, Humanitarian Law and Indic Legal Studies. He is also the coordinator of the Centre for Maritime Law and Research and faculty in-charge of Moot Court Society at MNLU Mumbai.

Dr. Sampada Jagannath Kangane is an Assistant Professor (Law) at MNLU Mumbai. She has completed her LL.B., LL.M & Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Before joining MNLU Mumbai, she has worked at Department of Law, Savitribai Phule Pune University, New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, ILS Law College, Pune, Department of Communication and Journalism, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Amity University, Mumbai. Her specialization is in Constitutional and Administrative Law and she has keen interest in legal research.

Mr. Sham Nivrutti Gulve (MA, NET JRF, PHD pursuing.) is an Assistant Professor (Political Science) at MNLU Mumbai He completed his graduation (with a rank) and post-graduation in Political Science from the Savitribai Phule Pune University. He participated in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (UK) Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Session, 2018. He was appointed as an Assistant professor at Wilson College (Autonomous) and I/C HoD of the Department of Political Science. He has presented research papers at various national and international conferences and has also published articles and papers with some academic journals. He is currently pursuing his PHD from Savitribai Phule Pune University on the Indo-pacific region.

Ms. Aastha Tiwari is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai, and the Centre Coordinator for the Centre for Information Communication and Technology Law (CICTL) and the Centre for Advanced Legal Studies, Training and Research (CALSTAR). She holds a B.A. LL.B from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and an LL.M from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. She also studied police reforms in Germany at the Berlin School of Economics and Law through the DAAD scholarship, adding an international dimension to her work. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. at MNLU Mumbai, focusing on the socio-legal dimensions of cyber voyeurism. Ms. Tiwari introduced a 4-credit elective course on Artificial Intelligence and Law at MNLU Mumbai. Her teaching areas include Constitutional Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Cyber Law. Beyond academia, she regularly collaborates with law enforcement institutions as a guest speaker and trainer. She has worked with the Central Academy for Police Training (CAPT), Bhopal, the State Police Academy, Khandala, and the National Academy of Direct Taxes, RC Bhopal, bridging legal research and practical training.

Dr. Aditi Suresh Mane is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. She holds a doctorate in law and previously served at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, where she was actively engaged in teaching, research, pro bono initiatives, and academic administration. She was awarded the prestigious ICSSR Short-Term Fellowship (2022–2023) and has made notable contributions to a range of national and international, government-funded research projects. Her work includes collaborations with the Ministry of Defence, National Commission for Women (NCW), and European Union-funded initiatives such as the Jean Monnet and ERASMUS+ CBHE projects. Dr. Mane brings over five years of academic experience and three years of practice before the District and Bombay High Courts. Her areas of specialization include Child Rights Law, Human Rights Law, Procedural Law, and Criminal and Security Laws. She has authored publications in reputed Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals and is deeply committed to interdisciplinary legal scholarship and student mentorship. At MNLU Mumbai, Dr. Mane serves as the Faculty Co-ordinator for the Centre for Research in Air & Space Law (CRASL). She is dedicated to fostering academic rigor and contributing meaningfully to the university’s mission of excellence in legal education and research.

Dr. Sayalee S. Surjuse is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. She was awarded a Ph.D. by the Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, in 2025 in the domain of Constitutional Law. She holds an LL.M. degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law from the Post Graduate Teaching Department, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur and a B.A. LL.B. degree from the same university. She is UGC-NET and SET qualified in Law. Prior to her current role, Dr. Surjuse was associated with Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur. She also served as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur [a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, Pune] for four years, and at Dr. Ambedkar College, Department of Law, Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur, for four years. With nearly nine years of cumulative teaching and research experience, her academic interests include Constitutional Law, Comparative Public Law, Gender Rights, and Anti-Discrimination Law. She has published research papers in reputed national and international journals, focusing on contemporary legal issues and socio-legal perspectives. Dr. Surjuse has also been invited as a resource person for lectures and academic sessions at various institutions and training programs, including UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. In addition, she has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences and seminars, presenting papers on issues related to constitutional governance, gender justice, and human rights.
