Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey is the Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. Before joining MNLU Mumbai, he served as the pro Vice-Chancellor and briefly as the acting Vice-Chancellor of SRTM University, Nanded, Maharashtra, and Professor & Head of the Department at Department of Law, Savitribai Phule Pune University. In the past, he was appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow by New South Wales University, Sydney, Australia and awarded UGC Fellowship to visit France. As an invited speaker he has spoken at numerous international conferences including the International Conference held on human rights at Kathmandu, Nepal; International Conference on Human Rights at New South Wales University Sydney, Australia and International Conference jointly organized by Vienna University Austria and City University Hong Kong. He has been a member of various committees of Universities, UGC, Public Service Commissions including Judges Selection Panel. In 2019, he was conferred the Best Academician (Law) by the Indian National Bar Association, New Delhi. He is an erudite expert in Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law and Administrative law and his work in these fields is recognized in national and international.
Dr. Pratapsinh B. Salunke is the Registrar (I/c) at MNLU Mumbai. Before joining MNLU, he was an Associate Professor and Head of the Department, School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus. Previously he has worked with D.E.S. Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune, M.M.M. Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, AWES Army Law College, Pune. He has also worked as In-charge Principal of D.E.S. Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune and AWES Army Law College, Pune. He is having fourteen years teaching experience at undergraduate and post-graduate level. He has worked as a member of Curriculum Development Committee, Faculty of Law and Commerce, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He is a member of Board of Studies, Faculty of Law, MIT-World Peace University. His areas of research are Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence and Public Law. He has published 17 research papers in reputed Law Journals of national and international repute. He has published two chapters in edited books published by publishers of international repute. He has contributed as a resource person in various conferences, seminars, workshops, U.G.C. sponsored Faculty Development and Induction Programmes organized by Human Resource Development Centers of various Universities. He is regularly invited as resource person for the training of Administrative Officers of Government of Maharashtra at Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), Pune. He is regularly invited as resource person for the Youth Leadership Programme at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune. He has contributed for training the recruits of Maharashtra State Reserve Police Force (S.R.P.F.) Pune. Besides academic and research publications he has published many articles on socio-legal issues, biographical, artistic and literary topics in the leading newspapers, magazines, journals, special issues. He has also written columns for newspaper and weekly magazines. He has delivered many lectures in the reputed lecture series. He is also felicitated for number of times for the valuable contribution in the field of oratory by various literary and cultural organisations.
Advocate (Dr.) Swapnil Bangali is the Director for the Center for Information Communication Technology and Law. He completed his LL.B. in 2004 and LL.M. in Constitutional Law and Legal Order in 2006 from Symbiosis Law School, Pune. Simultaneously, he completed DLL&LW, DTL, DIPL. He cleared the Judicial Examination in Maharashtra. Dr. Swapnil also completed Certificate Course on Cyber Laws and Cyber Security from GNLU, Gandhinagar. He cleared the examination of UGC-NET in 2006. He was faculty in Symbiosis Law School, Pune and Auro University, Surat. In 2015, he was invited in Berlin School of Economics and Law to deliver sessions on Police Law and Constitutional Law. He is instrumental in training the officers of Accredited Agencies in India on Digital Evidence and many other legal issues. He has authored a book on Information Technology Law.
Adv. (Dr.) Harita Bangali is the Director of the Center for Advanced Legal Studies, Training and Research. She completed her LL.B. in 2003 and LL.M. in Criminal Law in 2006 from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara. She completed her Ph.D. in the field of DNA Technology and Law in 2014 from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara. She enrolled as an Advocate in Gujarat Bar Association in 2003. She practiced in the original and appellate side in District Sessions Court and in Gujarat High Court. Subsequently, she also tried her hand in corporate sector and worked as Senior Legal Attorney in Infosys Ltd. and MindCrest India Ltd. in Pune. She was also visiting faculty in Symbiosis Law School, Pune, MIT School of Law, New Law College, Pune and Sandip University, Nashik. She has cleared the examination for Judicial Magistrate in Maharashtra and District Judge in Gujarat. She has co-authored a book on Information Technology Law.

Her core teaching and research areas belong to Business Law, Company Law, Securities Law, Corporate Governance, Islamic Finance, Financial Management, Financial System, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate valuation, Financial Regulation, SAPM, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, Taxation and Research Methodology. She has over 12 years of experience spanning over both the Industry as well as Academics. She is a life member of Indian Accounting Association and has published 25+ research papers in various eminent Peer Reviewed and Blind Peer Reviewed National and International journals including SCOPUS, Web of Science, Thomson Reuters, Elseviers indexed journals. She has Published two Patents and one Copyright at National and International Level. She has received National Talent Search Award from Indian Accounting Association (IAA)- Chapter Thane. Dr. Kiran Rai is an Associate Professor of Law. Currently she is Head of Post Graduate Department and Coordinator of NAAC Steering Committee at MNLU Mumbai. She has been HoD of Post Graduate Department from 2017 to 2019 and has been HoD of Undergraduate Department from 2017 to 2023. A university gold medallist in LL.B. & LL.M., she specializes in the area of Business Laws. She has a rich experience of teaching graduate & post-graduate students, as well as guiding them in their research projects. She also has wide experience in handling diverse administrative responsibilities. Before joining MNLU Mumbai, she has worked as I/c Dean at School of Law, Galgotias University, Greater Noida and has also worked with Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida; Institute Of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad; & ICFAI Business School (IBS), Ahmedabad. She has many awards & recognition to her credit. Besides having authored numerous research papers & a few books, she has done extensive research in the areas of Corporate Governance, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, & Law for Surrogacy. She has mobilized funds & collaborated with prestigious Government organizations - NCW, NHRC, Competition Commission of India (CCI) & IBBI - for organizing workshops & seminars.
Dr. Anand Raut , an Assistant Professor (Law) . He is also Member of Academic Council and Deputy Director of Center for Information Communication and Technology Law. He is holder of Doctorate Degree and advanced Diploma Progrmme in Cyber laws. He has cleared UGC NET and is a merit holder in graduation and post graduation. He has undertaken various research projects and has written research papers, reading material. He has been invited as a speaker at seminars, workshops, panel consultations etc. He is the founding faculty of Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai.
Sajid Sheikh is an Assistant Professor (Law). He obtained his LL.M. (Hons.) specializing in Intellectual Property Rights from National Law University, Jodhpur and is pursuing his Ph.D. from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. His contributions to various law journals focus on issues such as Intellectual Property Rights, Women and Law, Social Issues etc. He holds the additional charge of Assistant Registrar (Academic) and is the Coordinator of Centre for Research in Intellectual Property. He is also a member of the Academic Council of the University.
Milind B. Gawai , an Assistant Professor of Law. He has ten years of experience as an Assistant Professor (Law) He also worked as Research Fellow (Faculty) at National Judicial Academy, Bhopal for more than a year. He is committed to disseminate knowledge of law especially Constitutional Law amongst his students and promote them towards professional career with the sense of ethics and social responsibility.
Dr. Raghav Pandey (on leave) an Assistant Professor of Law. He is an Assistant Professor in the University. He is also a Visiting Fellow at a prominent think tank of the country, India Foundation, New Delhi. His ongoing doctoral research at the the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, focuses on an interface of economics and law, where he focuses on the study of evolving Insolvency regime in India. He is widely published in national news dailies and academic journals.
Chirag Balyan is an Assistant Professor of Law and Public Information Officer of the university. Prior to this, he worked as Law Clerk cum Research Assistant at the Supreme Court of India. His research interests include Over-criminalization in India, Problems of Justice System and Humanization of Criminal Law. He is Coordinator of Centre for Arbitration and Research (CAR), Deputy Director of Centre for Research in Criminal Justice (CRCJ) and Faculty-In-Charge of Atheletic Association.
Varada Sambhus (on leave) is an Assistant Professor (Political Science). She is an Assistant Professor (Political Science) at the Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. She has more than 4 years of teaching experience in prestigious institutions of Pune and Mumbai. She has taught papers on Indian Politics, Political Theory and International Politics. She is a doctoral candidate at the Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has presented papers at various international and national conferences and has published a chapter in a book on ‘Redefining Identities, Cultures and Literatures’.
Dr. Abhijit Rohi is an Assistant Professor of Law. He has been with MNLU Mumbai since 2016. Prior to joining MNLU Mumbai, he was a member of faculty at the School of Law, Christ University (SLCU) Bengaluru. He holds a masters degree in law (LLM) from NUJS, Kolkata where he was a recipient of merit based Saroja Gopalkrishnan Scholarship. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru in the domain of Informational Privacy Law. He jurisprudentially explores the impact of technological developments on rights.
Dr. Upamanyu Sengupta is an Assistant Professor of English. His doctoral dissertation examines the hermeneutics of travel writing. He was awarded a DAAD Fellowship for a semester’s study at the Technische Universität, Dresden, Germany. Upamanyu’s research interests on studies of space and place, Anglo-Indian Studies and affective mapping are reflected in his publications.
Dr.Rohit Bhaskar Jadhav is an Assistant Professor (Economics). He is working as Assistant Professor in Economics at Maharashtra National Law University, since October 2016 regularly. He teaches Economics to B.A. LL.B. (HONS) Students at MNLU MUMBAI. Besides, He is a member of various important Committees and Cells in the University and a Nodal Officer for Scholarship mainly. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, (Maharashtra) in African-American Literature. He has published many academic research articles in reputed national and international Journals. He also frequently writes editorial-articles in esteemed Marathi Newspapers like Loksatta. Abhijit More is an alumnus of Government Law College Mumbai (BLS LL.B.). He holds his LL.M degree in Corporate and Commercial Law. Adithya Variath Adithya Variath is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, India. He is the Coordinator of the Centre for Research in Air and Space Law and Faculty Editor of the Law and Pop Culture Forum at MNLU Mumbai. He also serves as an Expert at the UNESCO, Inclusive Policy Lab. He was a Research Fellow at the Information Society Law Center, University of Milan, Italy (2022-23) and a Research Group Member at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, USA (2022). He previously served as a Research Assistant to the Government of India Ministry of Commerce and Industry's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) - IPR Chair, MNLU Mumbai. As a researcher, his work focuses on International Law, air and space law and environmental law and policy. He writes frequently on issues of international law for Geopolitics, Modern Diplomacy, Times of Israel, etc. He has presented papers at conferences and workshops hosted by the University of Cambridge, King's College London, University of Pretoria and Graduate Institute, Geneva, among others. His recent works include ‘An Introduction to International Law’ (Thomson Reuters, 2021) and ‘A Handbook of International Aviation Law’. (Thomson Reuters, 2023). He is the founding Editor of the Indian Review of Air and Space Law.
DR. MUHAMMED AAMIR KHAN - Dr. Khan has 7 years of teaching and research experience in legal education. Mr. Abhishek Negi is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. He is also a visiting faculty of Law at Bombay Stock Exchange, Mumbai and teaches courses on Law and Justice. He is an alumnus of NUSRL, Ranchi from where he pursued B. A, LL. B (Hons.); and NALSAR, Hyderabad where he completed his studies of masters in Law (LL. M). Abhishek began his academic journey from DNLU Jabalpur as Teacher Associate in Law in 2018 and later taught as Assistant Professor of Law at Katni Arts and Commerce College, Katni; DNLU, Jabalpur and Department of Legal Studies at Mangalayatan University, Jabalpur. He cleared UGC NET (Law) in 2019. He is also pursuing his doctoral studies from NALSAR, Hyderabad in the domain of 'Crimmigration Studies'. His research and teaching interests include Criminal Law, Tort Law, Constitutional Law, Legal Theory, Administrative Law, etc. Abhishek has to his credit, good publications in reputed journals (Indexed in SCOPUS, HeinOnline, UGC Care Listed and International Peer Reviewed Journals) and has also written book chapters and Op-eds. He has also authored a handbook on "Criminal Trial" which is under process for publication. Amit Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Law. A Max Planck fellow, Amit has been engaged in academic and research collaborations with the Max Planck Institute of Social Law and Social Policy and Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU), Munich, Germany. He has been an alumnus of the Indian Law Institute from where he has done his LL.M. Additionally, he also holds a master’s degree in French literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Amit is also currently a doctoral candidate at NALSAR. Prior to joining MNLU he has served as a visiting faculty at the University of Delhi, faculty of Law. Amit has spoken and presented papers at various national and international seminars and conferences which include lectures at the Department of Foreign and International Social Law, MPI Munich and at the international conference on Business and Human Rights organized by the City University Hongkong and OXFAM. He has also participated as well as moderated sessions at the “tour d’arbitration” held at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris. His articles have appeared in some of the leading journals in India such as the Indian Law Institute Law Review and the Journal of Constitutional and Parliamentary studies. His academic interests inter alia include comparative international law, social laws, human rights and distributive justice. Prior to joining academics, he has also had significant administrative and industry experience having worked with the Parliament of India and subsequently also with some of the leading global multinational corporations in India and abroad in various leadership roles. Outside of professional and academic engagements Amit also engages in creative pursuits and has two poetry volumes in English to his credit.
Dr. Baban More is an Librarian (I/c) at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. He has awarded PhD in Library and Information Science from Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai. He is post graduate in MLISc, M.Phil, PGDLIM, UGC SET (LIS), PGDIPR -MNLU. Before joining the Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai he has worked as a Librarian at Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research New Panvel, and SIOT, TDCH Navi Mumbai academic institutions. He has 17 years of professional experience in Academic Library Administration and Information Management systems. he has to his credit, good publication of research papers in Scopus, peer review journals, and conferences. He is a member of various professional academic Associations / organizations. His responsibilities include over all Library Administration , Resource management services and ICT development activities.He is serve as the IQAC Coordinator, and member of other admin committees.
Amana Khare is an Assistant Professor (Maritime Law) at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. Previously he was working as a Research Assistant (International / Maritime Law) at the Centre for Maritime Law and Research established in collaboration with the Directorate General of Shipping under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India and MNLU Mumbai. He has done his LL.M. in International Law from Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur and graduation from Symbiosis Law School, Noida. He was the Associate Editor of the Student law Journal at DNLU. He is pursuing his PhD degree from Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad. He has keen interest in academics and research. His areas of interest are Maritime Law, International Law, Humanitarian Law and Indic Legal Studies. He is also the coordinator of the Centre for Maritime Law and Research and faculty in-charge of Moot Court Society at MNLU Mumbai.

Ahmedabad, Amity University, Mumbai. Her specialization is in
Constitutional and Administrative Law and she has keen interest in
Mr. Sham Nivrutti Gulve (MA, NET JRF, PHD pursuing.) is an Assistant Professor (Political Science) at MNLU Mumbai He completed his graduation (with a rank) and post-graduation in Political Science from the
Savitribai Phule Pune University. He participated in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association
(UK) Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Session, 2018. He was appointed as an Assistant
professor at Wilson College (Autonomous) and I/C HoD of the Department of Political
Science. He has presented research papers at various national and international conferences
and has also published articles and papers with some academic journals. He is currently
pursuing his PHD from Savitribai Phule Pune University on the Indo-pacific region.
Dr. Damodar M. Hake is an Assistant Professor of Law. He has worked in
prestigious law institutes and has over ten years of teaching
experience. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Law from Savitribai
Phule Pune University. In addition to a Master of Laws (LLM), he has
pursued Diplomas in Intellectual Property Rights Law and Cyber Law.
He has presented papers at various international and national
conferences and has several publications in reputed journals to his
credit. With a keen interest in enriching subject-specific knowledge
as well as in disseminating effective teaching and research skills, he
regularly participates in specialized Faculty Development Programs
across India. With prior experience at the university level
administration, he strives to instill awareness among students on
contemporary socio-legal issues.
Sangram Satish Jadhav is an Assistant Professor (Law) at MNLU Mumbai. He has completed his B.L.S LL.B from Government Law College, Mumbai and LLM from National Law University, Delhi. He has qualified UGC NET and JRF exam with highest marks scored in law subject in India. He has also qualified MH-SET exam. Before joining MNLU Mumbai, he has worked at Raisoni Law College, Nagpur. His specialization is in Constitutional and Criminal law and he has keen interest in legal research.
